Five Star grout names overlap across lines. Five Star Grout, Fluid Grout 100, High Strength Grout and High Strength 130 are four different cementitious grouts, and the epoxy grouts differ by flow, placement depth and chemical exposure. Start from the specification and the service condition, then confirm the exact product and unit size on the current Five Star datasheet.

Match Five Star products to the job
Most Five Star orders fall into a few kinds of work. Use the specification and the manufacturer instructions together, and compare across brands on the category pages when the product is still under review.
Equipment and machinery grouting
Pumps, compressors, generators, mills and process equipment need full bearing contact and a grout matched to the loading. Static loads and moderate service usually point to a cementitious non-shrink grout; vibration, impact, thermal cycling or chemical spillage point to an epoxy grout.

Structural concrete repair
Spalled slabs, columns, beams, loading docks, pavements and DOT structures use the Structural Concrete family in bag, pail or gunite form. Match the version to the repair orientation, depth, required set time and traffic or return-to-service window.

Marine, pile and underwater work
Piers, piles, seawalls, intake structures and tidal-zone concrete need products that displace water and resist washout. Five Star pairs pile jackets with pumpable underwater grout, and offers splash-zone and hand-pack repair materials for exposed and submerged surfaces.

Chemical, thermal and rapid return-to-service
Novolac epoxy grout and coating address aggressive chemical exposure; the high-temperature cementitious grout addresses thermal service; rapid-set and instant products shorten shutdowns. Each has its own cure, temperature and exposure limits.

Confirm the exact product name
Five Star lines carry similar names and suffixes. Check the full product name, unit size and any grade or version on the specification against the product page before ordering, and call when the specification names a product that is not listed.
Convert volume to units
Cementitious products are sold by bag or pail and yield by consistency; epoxy grouts are sold as multi-component kits by cubic foot. Measure the actual volume, add a practical allowance, divide by the published yield of the exact unit, and round up to whole units.
Assemble the submittal
Gather the current Five Star datasheet, installation instructions, SDS and any certification or compliance documentation the project requests. Include the manufacturer, product, unit and SKU. Ask for technical help when a document or limit is unclear.

Which Five Star grout is right for machinery baseplates?
It depends on the loading and exposure. Static equipment on a sound foundation is usually grouted with a cementitious non-shrink grout such as Five Star Grout or Fluid Grout 100. Equipment subject to vibration, impact, thermal cycling or chemical spillage is usually specified with an epoxy grout such as DP or HP Epoxy Grout. Confirm the specification and the equipment manufacturer's grout requirement.
Which Five Star products are made for underwater or marine repair?
Underwater High-Strength Grout, Structural Concrete Underwater PG and Underwater Hand Pack, Splash Zone, PileForm F pile jackets with LPL-HF pile-jacket epoxy grout, and the ARMX DeepGuard coatings are the Five Star products in this catalog formulated for submerged, tidal or splash-zone conditions. Ordinary non-shrink grout is not an underwater grout.
How do I tell the Structural Concrete versions apart?
The Structural Concrete line is sold as standard, ES, ES-60, ESX, VO, S300 and Gunite versions in bags and pails, plus underwater versions. They differ by set time, placement orientation, application method and repair depth. Use the version named in the specification, or send the repair details and we will confirm the version with Five Star.
Can I get Five Star datasheets, SDS and submittal documents?
Yes. Current product datasheets and safety data sheets are linked from the individual product pages, and we can supply installation instructions and any compliance documentation the project requests with a quote or order.
What if the Five Star product I need is not listed?
