Five Star Structural Concrete – 50 lb Pail

Five Star Structural Concrete is a high-early-strength, single-component repair material for durable, permanent repairs. It develops strong early compressive and bond strengths, supports placements from 1/4 in to 12 in in a single pour, and offers very low chloride ion permeability for corrosion protection. The mix is pumpable, has a short working time for fast turnarounds, and delivers excellent freeze/thaw durability.

Key Features

  • High early strengths for rapid return to service.
  • Working time about 15 minutes at 70°F.
  • Placement range 1/4 in to 12 in in a single pour.
  • Very low chloride ion permeability for corrosion resistance.
  • Excellent freeze/thaw durability; very low shrinkage.
  • High bond strength to properly prepared concrete.
  • Coarse aggregate extension for deep, economical repairs.
  • Pumpable for production placements.

Applications

  • Structural repairs in horizontal and vertical sections.
  • Rapid machinery foundation rebuilds and concrete overlays.
  • Repairs prior to coatings and in marine or hydraulic structures.
  • Construction joint repair, tanks, sumps, and curbs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the working time?
About 15 minutes at 70°F. Plan batching and crew size accordingly.

How deep can I place it?
From 1/4 in up to 12 in in a single pour, following proper formwork and placement practices.

When should I extend with aggregate?
Use 3/8 in pea gravel for sections deeper than 2 in to control heat and improve economy.

How soon can coatings be applied?
Moisture-sensitive coatings are typically applied in 8–24 hours, depending on conditions.

What curing is recommended?
Wet cure for 1–4 hours after final set, based on volume and temperature.
