What is the best way to mix Five Star Grout?
Use a mortar mixer for large batches or a paddle mixer for single bags. Always add water first, then mix for 4–5 minutes to achieve uniform consistency.
Can Five Star Grout be extended with aggregate?
Yes. For pours over 6 inches deep, it should be extended with clean, damp coarse aggregate conforming to ASTM C33.
How soon can equipment be placed into service?
Once the required compressive strength is achieved. This may be within 1–3 days depending on conditions and placement method.
Is curing required?
Yes. Wet cure for a minimum of 3 days, or apply a curing compound meeting ASTM C309 after a 24-hour wet cure.
