Sika systems for common jobs
Most projects combine several Sika products. These notes show which lines usually travel together so the order arrives complete.
Equipment setting and machinery grouting
Pumps, compressors, generators and mills need full bearing beneath the plate and a grout matched to the load. SikaGrout cementitious grouts cover most static equipment; SikaFlow epoxy grouts cover dynamic, chemical or vibration service, with SikaFlow 640 as the epoxy primer and cleaning solvent.

Building envelope and joint sealing
A sealant order usually needs Sikaflex or Sikasil in the specified color, matching backer rod, primer where the datasheet calls for it, and applicator tools. Sikaflex 1A and NP 1 handle most vertical joints; Sikaflex 1C SL and 2C SL are the self-leveling options for horizontal joints.
Universal color packs tint Sikaflex 2C tint-base units. Coverage runs by joint width and depth, so confirm cartridge or sausage counts from the joint schedule rather than a per-unit guess.
Concrete repair and restoration
Structural repairs move from surface preparation to bonding agent to repair mortar to protective coating. Armatec 110 EpoCem primes reinforcing steel and bonds mortar; SikaTop, SikaQuick and SikaEmaco fill the repair; Sikagard or Sikalastic protects the finished surface.
Sikadur epoxies bond, anchor and inject where the repair is structural. Match each mortar to lift depth and orientation, and browse the full Repair Mortars category for products from other manufacturers when the spec allows.
Below-grade and water-retaining structures
Waterstop is placed before the pour: Greenstreak PVC profiles in construction and expansion joints, Hydrotite or Swellstop hydrophilic strips at cold joints and penetrations, and retrofit systems where a joint was missed. Leakmaster and X-Plug stop active leaks; Thoroseal and SikaTop Seal 107 waterproof the face.

Use the project specification and the current Sika product data sheet to confirm performance, color and quantity before the order ships.
Match the specified product exactly
Sika product numbers carry meaning: 1A and NP 1 are different sealants, 32 and 22 are different-modulus epoxies, 212 and 350 are different grout consistencies. Order by the exact name in the specification, and ask us to check substitutions or legacy Master Builders names.
Confirm colors and packaging
Sikaflex and Sikasil colors vary by product line, and cartridge, sausage and pail units are not interchangeable in applicator guns. Filter the product list by Color and Packaging, and request a physical color chart when matching precast or masonry.

What is the difference between Sikaflex 1A and Sikaflex NP 1?
Both are one-component, moisture-cured polyurethane sealants for vertical and horizontal construction joints. Sikaflex NP 1 is the former MasterSeal NP 1 that joined the Sika line with the Master Builders Solutions acquisition. Color ranges, packaging and some certifications differ, so order the product named in the specification and compare the two current data sheets when either is acceptable.
Which Sika grout should I use under equipment?
SikaGrout cementitious grouts serve most static machinery, columns and baseplates when installed to the published depth and consistency. SikaFlow epoxy grouts are used where the equipment manufacturer or the specification requires epoxy for dynamic loading, chemical exposure or high effective bearing area. Confirm the requirement with the equipment data before choosing between them.
Are the old MasterSeal, MasterFlow and MasterEmaco products still available?
Yes, under Sika names. Sika acquired Master Builders Solutions and renamed the lines: MasterSeal sealants became Sikaflex NP products, MasterFlow grouts became SikaFlow and SikaGrout, and MasterEmaco repair mortars became SikaEmaco. Formulations continued, so a specification written with the old name can be filled with the renamed product once the equivalent is confirmed.
Do Sika sealants need a primer?
It depends on the product and the substrate. Many Sikaflex polyurethane sealants bond to common construction materials without primer, while porous, coated or unusual substrates and some Sikasil silicone applications call for a specific Sika primer. Check the primer table in the current product data sheet and run an adhesion test on the actual substrate.
