Adhesives Technology Ultrabond 1 – 9oz Anchoring Epoxy Cartridge

Ultrabond 1 is a two-component, 1:1 mix ratio structural epoxy anchoring adhesive designed for anchoring threaded rod, bolts, and rebar dowels into uncracked concrete. It is moisture insensitive and can be installed and cured in damp environments, with an application temperature range from 40°F to 110°F (4°C to 43°C) and an in-service temperature range from 35°F to 180°F (2°C to 82°C).

Key Features

  • Two-component epoxy with a 1:1 mix ratio by volume.
  • Moisture insensitive, allowing installation and curing in damp environments.
  • High modulus with little to no odor.
  • Withstands freeze-thaw conditions.
  • Non-sag consistency for anchoring and doweling work.
  • Meets ASTM C881 Type I, II, IV, and V, Grade 3, Class A, B, and C, and AASHTO M235.

Applications

  • Anchoring threaded rods, bolts, and rebar dowels into uncracked concrete.
  • Short and long term tensile anchoring, including wind, seismic, and shear forces per allowable stress design (ASD).
  • Grouting dowel bars and tie bars for full depth concrete pavement repairs.
  • Bonding agent for fresh to hardened concrete, and hardened to hardened concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mix ratio for Ultrabond 1?
Mix ratio is 1:1 by volume. Dispense until the mixed material is a uniform gray with no streaks before injecting into the hole.

Can it be installed in damp concrete?
Yes. Ultrabond 1 is moisture insensitive and allows installation and curing in damp environments. Remove standing water from the hole before cleaning and injection.

What temperature range can I install it in?
Substrate and ambient application temperature should be between 40°F and 110°F (4°C and 43°C).

Is it suitable for overhead anchoring?
It is not recommended for overhead applications where there may be a sustained tensile load.

Does the concrete need to be a minimum age before anchoring?
For anchoring applications, concrete must be a minimum of 21 days old prior to anchor installation.
