Sika Thoroseal Plus is a waterproof cement-based coating for concrete that provides a semi-smooth waterproofing finish that resists both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. Formerly MSeal 583.
Sika Thoroseal Plus is a dry Portland cement-based, modified polymer coating that provides a semi-smooth waterproofing finish for concrete and masonry. It resists both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure and is used on walls, foundations, tunnels, basements, and other building substrates where a cement-based waterproof coating is required.

What is Sika Thoroseal Plus used for?
It is used as a cement-based waterproof coating on building substrates such as walls, foundations, tunnels, basements, blocks, bricks, stone, and concrete for interior and exterior applications.
Does it resist negative-side hydrostatic pressure?
Yes. It is designed to resist both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure.
How much water is used for mixing?
Use 5.5 quarts of clean water per 35 lb pail. Allow the mixture to rest undisturbed for approximately 10 minutes before use.
What is the working time after mixing?
Pot life is between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on temperature and relative humidity.
What is the coverage per pail?
For above-ground exterior walls exposed to rain and standing water, the first coat covers 160 ft2 per 35 lb pail and the second coat covers 320 ft2 per 35 lb pail.
What temperatures are required for application?
Do not apply when the room temperature or substrate temperature is under 41°F (5°C), or when temperatures within the following 24 hours are going to be under 41°F (5°C).
