Avanti AV-290 Fast Set is a dual-component hydrophobic polyurethane grout for large below-grade voids and high water flow. It expands on free rise into a rigid, closed-cell foam and does not need water to react.
Avanti AV-290 Fast Set is a dual-component hydrophobic polyurethane grout for large voids on the exterior of below-grade structures where high water flow is present. Part A and Part B react without water and expand 1,500 to 2,600 percent on free rise into a rigid, closed-cell foam that can take wet/dry cycles. Avanti uses it for probe grouting, curtain grouting, pressure injection, and pipe or tank abandonment. When it is used to slow high water, it is specified with another Avanti injection resin, not as a stand-alone seal.

| Storage | 45°F to 95°F (7°C to 35°C) in a dry atmosphere. Keep containers tightly closed. Packaged under dry nitrogen to keep moisture out. |
| Equipment Cleaning | Do not use water. Flush uncured resin with AV-284 Pump Wash. Purge remaining wash and moisture with AV-208 Technical Grade Acetone. Use AV-222 Cleaner for cured resin. |
| Related Avanti Grouts | AV-202 Multigrout is a different Avanti product, not a size of AV-290. Use AV-290 with another Avanti injection resin when the job is high water flow rather than as a stand-alone seal. |

Is AV-290 Fast Set used to fill large below-grade voids?
Yes. AV-290 Fast Set is used to fill large voids on the exterior of below-grade structures where high water flow is present. The dual-component hydrophobic foam expands into the void and cures rigid and closed-cell.
Does AV-290 Fast Set need water to react?
No. Part A and Part B react with each other. Water is not required for the AV-290 Fast Set reaction, which is why Avanti uses it in wet below-grade voids as a hydrophobic grout.
Can AV-290 Fast Set take wet and dry cycles after it cures?
Yes. AV-290 Fast Set cures to a rigid, impermeable, closed-cell foam that can take wet and dry cycles. That is the listed cured performance on the current TDS.
Can AV-290 Fast Set stop high water flow by itself?
No. When AV-290 Fast Set is used to slow high water flows, Avanti specifies it with another Avanti injection resin rather than as a stand-alone seal.
Is AV-290 Fast Set used for pipe or tank abandonment?
Yes. AV-290 Fast Set is listed for pipe and tank abandonment as well as probe grouting, curtain grouting, and pressure injection.
When should I pick AV-290 Fast Set instead of AV-202 Multigrout?
Pick AV-290 Fast Set to fill large below-grade voids with a dual-component hydrophobic foam that does not need water to react. AV-202 Multigrout is a moisture-activated hydrophilic resin for sealing active leaks in large cracks and joints.
