Avanti AV-202 Multigrout is a single component, moisture activated MDI/TDI blended polyurethane injection resin. Designed for sealing active water leaks in large cracks or joints in concrete structures, it can absorb up to 10 times its weight in water, creating a tough and impermeable seal.
Avanti AV-202 Multigrout is a moisture-activated hydrophilic polyurethane injection resin for sealing active leaks in large cracks and joints. It is a high-viscosity MDI/TDI blend for concrete and brick when water is already moving, including manholes and pipe penetrations. The grout can take up to ten times its volume in water, expands as it cures, and stays flexible on moving joints. WQA certifies it against NSF/ANSI/CAN 61.

Can AV-202 grout brick as well as concrete?
Yes. AV-202 is engineered to seal active water leaks in large cracks or joints in concrete and brick structures. The resin seeks moisture in the pores of either substrate and adheres as it expands.
Can AV-202 be used with AV-219 Fibrotite oakum?
Yes. AV-202 is used in conjunction with AV-219 Fibrotite oakum or AV-215 Resin Rod for Expanded Gasket Placement. The resin wets the oakum and cures into a flexible gasket in the joint.
Does cured AV-202 stay flexible?
Yes. AV-202 cures flexible with excellent adhesive properties. That flexibility is why it is used on moving cracks and joints instead of a rigid foam.
Does AV-202 form a compressive seal as it expands?
Yes. AV-202 reacts with moisture, expands, and packs a compressed network into the crack. That compressive lock, plus adhesion to the wet substrate, is how the TDS describes the seal.
Is AV-202 the grout for high-volume water where high viscosity is required?
Yes. AV-202 is designed for applications where high-volume water flow is an active or potential problem and a high-viscosity chemistry is required. Typical viscosity is 3,200 to 6,200 cP at 72 F.
Can AV-202 be used on a drinking-water structure?
Yes. AV-202 is tested and certified by WQA against NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 Drinking Water System Component. Using AV-203 Multicat with AV-202 is not NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certified.
