Chem Link M1 is a moisture cure, multi-purpose structural adhesive/sealant designed for bonding and sealing a wide range of construction materials. M-1 forms a tough, elastic & waterproof seal to most roofing materials, masonry, wood, glass, aluminum and foam.
ChemLink M-1 is a moisture-curing polyether adhesive sealant for bonding and sealing in damp, dry, or cold conditions. The solvent-free formula has no isocyanates and forms a tough, elastic, waterproof seal to roofing, masonry, wood, glass, aluminum, and foam. Typical work includes flashing, copings, skylights, and HVAC metal, and it can be applied as low as 32°F. For longer production beads, sausage packaging of this same material is the 20 oz white sausage and the 20 oz black sausage.

Is ChemLink M-1 a moisture-curing STPE adhesive and sealant?
Yes. ChemLink M-1 is a moisture-curing STPE structural adhesive and sealant. It is solvent-free, non-sag, and rated ASTM C920 Class 35.
What substrates will ChemLink M-1 bond?
The PDS lists EPDM (adhesion test required), PVC, TPO (adhesion test; use ChemLink LOW-VOC EPDM/TPO Primer), SBS, APP-modified bitumen, galvanized metal, aluminum, brass, copper, engineered plastics, glass, masonry, concrete, and wood. Do not use on fire-retardant lumber. Treated wood should weather six months first.
Can ChemLink M-1 be applied in wet or cold weather?
Yes. M-1 may be applied in wet and dry conditions and at temperatures as low as 32°F (0°C). Substrates must still be clean and free of dust, oils, frost, and other contaminants. Dry standing water on concrete before placing sealant.
Does ChemLink M-1 need a primer?
Most applications do not require a primer. TPO requires ChemLink LOW-VOC EPDM/TPO Primer. Adhesion tests are required on EPDM. A primer is recommended where prolonged immersion is anticipated. Confirm the substrate before the first production bead.
How long until ChemLink M-1 is tack-free?
Tack-free time is 35 ± 10 minutes. Full cure is typically reached within 24 hours and varies with humidity, temperature, and bead depth. Tool the bead within 15 minutes.
Are ChemLink M-1 colors the same published chemistry?
Yes. Standard ChemLink M-1 colors are the same published chemistry.
