ChemLink M-1 Sealant – Dark Bronze, 10.1 oz Cartridge

M-1 is a moisture-curing polyether adhesive/sealant for interior and exterior construction joints. It installs in damp, dry, or cold conditions, skins quickly, and cures to a tough, flexible seal with Class 35 joint movement. The non-slump formula will not bubble on damp surfaces, will not shrink, and shows strong UV color stability. Water-free chemistry means low VOC and no isocyanates; cleanup is easy with alcohol while uncured. This SKU is Dark Bronze in a 10.1 oz cartridge.

Key Features

  • Solvent-free, 100% solids; no shrinkage and no outgassing on damp surfaces.
  • Class 35 joint movement capability (ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS).
  • Non-slump for vertical and overhead joints; tools easily.
  • Good UV color stability; paintable within 24 hours (verify coating compatibility).

  • Applies at temperatures as low as 32°F; service range −40°F to 200°F.
  • Adheres to concrete, masonry, metals, wood, many plastics, glass, and FRP.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I paint M-1?
Yes. It is paintable after cure; always test paints first. Some polyurethane or oil-based paints may dry slowly.

Does it adhere to metals and plastics?
It bonds to aluminum, galvanized metal, stainless, engineered plastics including PVC, and more when surfaces are clean and properly prepared.

Is a primer required?
Usually no. Prime only for difficult substrates or where prolonged immersion is expected.

How do I clean up?
Use alcohol while uncured. Cured material must be removed mechanically.

Cold weather installation?
Product can be applied at 32°F; keep cartridges near room temperature for easier gunning and tool within 15 minutes.
