WR Meadows PC2R PROTECTION COURSE is a 94 mil (2.4 mm) SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) modified bitumen protection course: a fiberglass mat saturated and coated with an asphaltic and SBS elastomer blend. The blend gives the sheet elasticity and flexibility, and the full-width fiberglass reinforcement gives tensile strength, dimensional stability, and puncture and tear resistance. It is intended as a protection course over HRM 714 and HYDRALASTIC 836 waterproofing, against damage from foot traffic, in between-slab construction such as plaza decks, roof terraces, promenade decks, pedestrian concourses, tunnels, parking garage decks and planter boxes. For vehicular traffic or extreme physical abuse, WR Meadows calls for PROTECTION COURSE PC-3. Overburden should be placed within 30 days of applying PC2R.

How is PC2R installed?
Roll it out and embed it into the hot, liquid-tacky HRM 714 or HYDRALASTIC 836, overlapping 2-3 Inch, then light roll or broom it into place. For added waterproofing and protection against protrusions, seal all laps with HRM 714. It should form a continuous layer tightly bonded over the whole membrane, and the overburden should be placed within 30 days.
What is PC2R not compatible with?
PC2R is not compatible with HYDRALASTIC 836 SL, some polyether and most urethane waterproofing membranes, oils and solvents. Where it is adhered to a membrane, use an approved adhesive, and do not place it over liquid membranes that contain volatile solvents until all of the solvent has evaporated. Consult the membrane manufacturer before placing it.
