Non-hardening, intumescent compound designed to seal through-penetrations as well as certain membrane penetrations against the spread of fire, smoke and hot gasses
SpecSeal SSP4S is a non-hardening, intumescent putty pad for protecting electrical boxes and similar penetrations in gypsum wall assemblies. The pad installs cleanly without tools, adheres to common construction materials, and remains soft for easy retrofit. Under fire exposure it expands to help block flame, smoke, and hot gases while also reducing sound transmission.
