Euclid Duralprep A.C. Bonding Agent, 1 Gallon Kit

Euclid Duralprep A.C. is a pre-proportioned water-based epoxy and portland cement kit. It is used as a bonding agent for fresh concrete and repair mortars on existing concrete, on vertical and overhead repairs, and on exterior or interior work on grade or above grade. The coating is non-flammable, VOC compliant, and does not form a water vapor barrier after cure.

Key Features

  • Three-component water-based epoxy plus portland cement
  • Long open time
  • Contains a corrosion inhibitor
  • Brush or spray application
  • Non-flammable
  • Does not form a vapor barrier

Applications

  • Bonding agent for fresh concrete to existing concrete.
  • Vertical and overhead concrete repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What corrosion protection does Euclid Duralprep A.C. give reinforcing steel?
Euclid Duralprep A.C. contains a corrosion inhibitor which protects reinforcement when it is used as an anti-corrosion coating for steel. It is used on vertical and overhead concrete repairs, on grade or above grade.

What 1-gallon coverage does Euclid Duralprep A.C. give per coat?
One 1 gallon unit of Euclid Duralprep A.C. covers approximately 65 ft² per coat. Coverage rates are approximate. Actual coverage depends on temperature, texture, and substrate porosity.

What 3-day compressive result does Euclid Duralprep A.C. show?
Typical laboratory compressive strength is 4,450 psi at 3 days (ASTM C109). Seven-day compressive strength is 5,610 psi. Twenty-eight-day compressive strength is 7,540 psi. Expect reasonable variation under field conditions.

What open-time window does Euclid Duralprep A.C. hold at 75 F?
Euclid Duralprep A.C. has an open time from 1 to 24 hours at 75 F. Maximum open times are 12 hours at 90 F, 24 hours at 75 F, and 30 hours at 45 F. Wind and excessive heat shorten open time.

What ASTM G109 coulomb reading does Euclid Duralprep A.C. show at one year?
Typical laboratory total coulomb reading at 1 year is 4.4 coulombs for one coat (ASTM G109). The uncoated control is 372.2 coulombs. Top rebar corrosion at 1 year is 0% for one coat versus 35% for the uncoated control.

What pot life does Euclid Duralprep A.C. hold on a 2 gallon unit?
Typical laboratory pot life is 35 to 40 minutes on a 2 gallon unit. Working time and cure time decrease as temperature increases and increase as temperature decreases. Expect reasonable variation under field conditions.
