WR Meadows PERMINATOR EVOH (part of the perminator line) is a seven-layer co-extruded barrier made from polyethylene and EVOH resins. It is intended to restrict naturally occurring gases such as radon, methane, gasoline, solvents, oils and hydrocarbons from migrating through the ground and into the concrete slab, and it also helps reduce moisture and water vapor reaching flooring and other moisture-sensitive interior finishes. It can be installed as part of a passive or active control system across the whole building, including floors, walls and crawl spaces. This roll is 10 ft (3 m) wide by 150 ft (45.7 m) long, about 1500 sq ft before overlaps, with a nominal thickness of 20 mil.

PERMINATOR EVOH is intended for gas-contaminated sites. For standard vapor barrier applications that call for a 20 mil material, WR Meadows directs users to PERMINATOR 20 MIL instead.
How are PERMINATOR EVOH seams sealed?
Overlap all side and end seams 12 inches. Place PERMINATOR BUTYL TAPE underneath the overlap to hold the membrane in place, then tape the seam with 4 inch PERMINATOR EVOH TAPE. Keep the tape area free of dust, dirt and moisture so the pressure-sensitive tape bonds fully.
How much area does one roll cover?
The roll is 10 ft by 150 ft, about 1500 sq ft before overlaps. With 12 inch overlaps on every seam, net coverage depends on the layout of the pour area.
Should PERMINATOR EVOH run over the footing?
The most efficient method places it on top of the footing and against the vertical wall, sandwiched between the footing, wall and slab. Where the building code does not allow a barrier over the footing, WR Meadows approves the alternate method. What temperatures can PERMINATOR EVOH handle?
The data sheet lists a maximum static use temperature of 180 F (82 C) and a minimum static use temperature of -70 F (-57 C).
