ChemLink SOF-Rod is a bi-cellular polyolefin foam backer rod used to control sealant depth in expansion joints, glazing, curtain wall, parking decks, and bridge joints. The rod is virtually dust-free, chemically inert, and does not outgas in normal use. Oversize 25 to 50% so it seats tight and acts as a bond breaker. Do not use with hot-applied sealants. The same foam is sold as the 5/8 in. x 550 ft SOF-Rod, the 7/8 in. x 350 ft SOF-Rod, and the 1-1/8 in. x 125 ft SOF-Rod.
