When should Pentra-Sil (AC) follow Pentra-Sil (C&N)?
On severe sweating or efflorescence, the sheet calls for Pentra-Sil (C&N) first, then Pentra-Sil (AC). C&N is the clean-and-neutralize first step. AC is the alkalinity-control treatment that follows on those extreme floors.
Does Pentra-Sil (AC) reduce slab sweating?
Yes. Pentra-Sil (AC) is built for sweating, efflorescing, or high-pH surfaces. It neutralizes the surface and reduces the vapor drive that carries alkaline salts to the top of the slab.
Why would a sodium-silicate floor still sweat after densifying?
High pH at the surface is often made worse by sodium or potassium silicate densifiers. That pH imbalance draws moisture. Pentra-Sil (AC) permeates the surface to mitigate that imbalance so alkaline salts are less likely to form efflorescence.
Does Pentra-Sil (AC) also harden the slab?
Yes. Nano-Lithium in Pentra-Sil (AC) densifies and hardens the surface and increases abrasion resistance while it is controlling alkalinity. It is still an alkalinity-control primer, not a polish densifier.

No. Pentra-Sil (AC) is a penetrating lithium treatment with no film to peel. Sweating and salt drive are handled inside the surface, which is why AC is used on interior slabs that keep pulling alkali to the top.

Pentra-Sil (AC) is the alkalinity-control treatment for sweating or high-pH slabs. The C&N-then-AC sequence is specified for more extreme symptoms. On a milder high-pH floor, AC still addresses alkalinity; reach for C&N first when the slab is already blooming salts.
