WR Meadows DECRA-SEAL is a solvent-based, non-yellowing acrylic curing and sealing compound for decorative concrete in a 5 gallon pail. It cures and seals exterior concrete and leaves a clear, high-sheen film.
WR Meadows DECRA-SEAL is a high-solids, acrylic-based liquid curing and sealing compound intended for decorative concrete. It forms a hard yet flexible clear film that will not yellow and raises resistance to water, alkalis, petroleum spirits, chemicals, oil, grease, de-icing salts, and abrasion. The durable, high-sheen finish seals new or existing exterior concrete, helps minimize spalling, and can be recoated after a thorough cleaning. DECRA-SEAL is flammable and is for exterior use only. This 5 gallon pail covers about 1,500 to 3,000 sq ft.

Where is WR Meadows DECRA-SEAL used?
On exterior decorative concrete such as driveways, patios, swimming pool areas, and exposed aggregate surfaces, or any exterior concrete that needs protection and sealing. It is for exterior application only and should not be used on exposed aggregate overlays.
How much area does the DECRA-SEAL 5 Gallon Pail cover?
300 to 600 sq ft per gallon depending on the porosity and condition of the concrete, or about 1,500 to 3,000 sq ft for this 5 gallon pail.
How is DECRA-SEAL applied?
On fresh concrete, apply once all surface water has disappeared and walking workers will not mar the surface; existing concrete must be clean and dry with any curing compound removed. Use a sprayer or a 1/4 inch short-nap roller for a uniform film, brushing out puddles. WR Meadows recommends an industrial sprayer such as a Chapin 19069 with Viton fittings and a 0.5 GPM fan nozzle. Apply it without diluting or thinning.
How fast does DECRA-SEAL dry?
It dries to the touch in 30 to 60 minutes. In lab conditions it can be recoated in 2 to 24 hours and takes wheel traffic after 6 to 12 hours. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours, and twelve hours is preferred.
What conditions cause problems with DECRA-SEAL?
Direct sun or high heat can make the film peel, bubble, turn hazy, or blush, so the concrete surface must be between 40 and 90 F when it goes on. Do not apply it to concrete exposed to excessive moisture, and do not over-apply, which can leave a hazy or white film. Treated surfaces may become slippery, and WR Meadows suggests adding SURE-STEP for slip resistance.
What safety precautions apply to DECRA-SEAL?
DECRA-SEAL is flammable. Keep it away from open flames, sparks, and ignition sources, use adequate ventilation, and block HVAC ducts, since the vapors are heavier than air. Do not use it where food items are present. If the odor is objectionable, WR Meadows suggests a water-based product such as DECRA-SEAL W/B or the VOCOMP series.
