Liquid Metal provides a corrosion-protective, wear-resistant, low friction finish. The light consistency makes it easy to mix and apply with a brush, with little sag. In addition, Liquid Metal is virtually odorless, with no unpleasant smell.
Liquid Metal is a low-viscosity, metal-filled two-part epoxy that brushes on to protect steel and other metals from corrosion and chemical attack. It provides a smooth, wear-resistant, low-friction finish and is easy to mix and apply with little sag. Use as a protective coating on pumps, impellers, flange faces, valves, castings, tanks, and pipework, or as a load-transfer layer before overwrapping with composite bandages. This item is the 4 x 500g kit.

How is Liquid Metal applied?
Mix resin and hardener, then brush on 0.5–1.0 mm per coat. Apply at least two coats with a 4–8 hour recoat window to ensure a pinhole-free film.
Can I speed up the cure?
Yes. After an initial room cure, heat to accelerate. For maximum heat resistance, post-cure 24 hours at room temperature, then 80°C for 2 hours followed by 150°C for 3 hours, and allow to cool.
What preparation gives best adhesion?
Abrasive blast or grind to clean, bright metal. For salt-exposed steel, blast and high-pressure wash, allow to sweat overnight, repeat until soluble salts are ≤40 ppm, then solvent clean.
Where is it most useful?
Corrosion and chemical protection on pumps, impellers, flange faces, valves, tanks, and pipework, and as a load-transfer layer prior to composite bandage overwraps.
Is it solvent free and low odour?
Yes. It is solvent free with 100 percent non-volatile content and is virtually odourless during application.
