STI SpecSeal LCI300 Fire Barrier LCI Intumescent Sealant – 10 oz Cartridge

SpecSeal LCI300 is a versatile, latex-based intumescent firestop sealant for penetrations and joints in rated assemblies. It expands when exposed to heat to help close gaps around combustible penetrants, forming a durable smoke- and fire-resistant seal. The red, paintable formula installs easily, cleans up with water, is water resistant when dry, and is designed to be safe with many plastics.

Key Features

  • Highly intumescent; expands up to 10x under heat.
  • Water based for easy installation and cleanup; water resistant when dry.
  • Paintable, low VOC, non-halogenated; high-solids formula minimizes shrinkage.
  • Auto-bonding; adheres to common construction and penetrant materials.
  • Acoustically tested to help reduce sound transmission.
  • Tested systems provide fire ratings up to 4 hours when installed per listings.

Applications

  • Through-penetrations in concrete, masonry, gypsum board, and wood-frame assemblies.
  • Metallic and nonmetallic pipe, conduit, cable bundles, and insulated pipes (per tested systems).
  • Construction joints and perimeter gaps as detailed in listed firestop designs.
  • Retrofit resealing during maintenance or tenant improvements.
