Sikaflex-1c SL is used to seal horizontal expansion joints in concrete and cementitious slabs where a pourable sealant, strong adhesion, and long-term elasticity are required.

What is Sikaflex-1c SL used for?
It is used to seal horizontal expansion joints in concrete and cementitious slabs, including sidewalks, balconies, pavements, terraces, warehouses, factories, and civil structures.

Can it be applied to green or damp concrete?
Yes. It can be applied to green concrete after a minimum of 24 hours at 75 F (23 C). For damp concrete, all standing water must be displaced and the concrete must then dry for a minimum of 60 minutes before installation.

What joint movement rating does it have?
Movement capability is ±25% when tested per ASTM C719.

What joint depth limits apply?
In joints subject to movement, maximum sealant depth must not exceed 1/2 in and minimum depth is 1/4 in. For horizontal joints subject to traffic, minimum sealant depth is 1/2 in.

Is it suitable for water immersion?
Yes, but allow 1 week cure at standard conditions before total water immersion applications.
