What is ULTRABOND HS-1CC?
ULTRABOND HS-1CC is a two-component, 1:1 epoxy anchoring adhesive for threaded rod and rebar in cracked or uncracked concrete, and for internally threaded inserts in uncracked concrete. This page is the 9 oz cartridge (A9-HS1CC), sold as a case of 12.
How do the cartridge sizes compare?
HS-1CC cartridges are the same published epoxy in three sizes. This page is the 9 oz cartridge (A9-HS1CC), case of 12. Other sizes: ULTRABOND HS-1CC 22 oz and ULTRABOND HS-1CC 53 oz.
Can HS-1CC be used in wet or submerged holes?
Yes. It is approved for dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged conditions with threaded rod or rebar. Follow the manufacturer printed installation instructions for hole drilling and cleaning.
What is the working and full cure time?
At 75°F, working time is about 16 minutes and full cure is about 7 hours. At 43°F, working time is about 45 minutes and full cure is about 144 hours. Do not disturb, torque, or load the anchor until full cure.
Can HS-1CC be used overhead?
Yes. Vertical down, horizontal, upwardly inclined, and overhead placements are listed uses. Install per the datasheet and IAPMO ER-591.
How old must the concrete be before anchoring?
For anchoring applications, concrete should be a minimum of 21 days old prior to anchor installation per ACI 355.4.
Does HS-1CC meet ASTM C881?
Yes. The current TDS meets ASTM C881-15 and AASHTO M235 Type I, II, IV and V, Grade 3, Class A, B and C. It is evaluated to IAPMO ER-591 for cracked and uncracked concrete.
