WR Meadows VOCOMP-30 5 Gallon Pail

WR Meadows VOCOMP-30 (VOCOMP 30) is a ready-to-use, 30% solids acrylic curing and sealing compound in a true water-based carrier, intended for fresh concrete. Use it where a thicker film with a medium-to-high sheen is wanted; it dries clear. The film raises resistance to rain, sun, petroleum, de-icing salts, cleaning agents other than aromatic solvents, diluted caustics, and other pollutants. This 5 gallon pail covers roughly 1,500 sq ft broomed or 2,500 sq ft troweled.

Key Features

  • 30% solids acrylic builds a thicker, medium-to-high sheen film
  • Non-yellowing, permeable film lets moisture in cured concrete escape
  • Resists petroleum, de-icing salts, abrasives, and mortar droppings
  • Bluish wet film shows coverage, then dries clear
  • Wet tools clean with soap and water

Applications

  • Driveways, sidewalks, and patios
  • Swimming pool areas
  • Commercial and industrial floors without heavy forklift traffic
  • Fresh interior and exterior concrete, horizontal or vertical

Frequently Asked Questions

What is WR Meadows VOCOMP-30 used on?
Fresh concrete, interior or exterior, horizontal or vertical. Typical jobs are driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool areas, and commercial and industrial floors. For floors that will see heavy forklift traffic, WR Meadows recommends curing with MED-CURE and following with LIQUI-HARD or LIQUI-HARD ULTRA instead.

What coverage does the VOCOMP-30 5 Gallon Pail give?
About 300 sq ft per gallon on a broomed surface and about 500 sq ft per gallon on a troweled surface, or roughly 1,500 and 2,500 sq ft for this 5 gallon pail.

How is VOCOMP-30 different from VOCOMP-20 and VOCOMP-25?
VOCOMP-30 has 30% solids and is used where a thicker film with a medium-to-high sheen is wanted. It is intended for fresh concrete.

How is WR Meadows VOCOMP-30 applied?
Apply once surface water is gone and workers will not mar the slab. Spray a thin, continuous film in a fine fog using a Chapin 5916 nozzle at about 0.1 GPM, or use a lint-free roller or lambswool applicator while keeping a wet edge. Two coats at right angles give more protection and sheen.

What temperature limits does VOCOMP-30 have?
Do not apply when air, material, or surface temperatures are expected to drop below 40 F within four hours after application, and keep it from freezing. Do not dilute it or mix it with solvent-containing compounds.

Can coatings or flooring go over VOCOMP-30?
Floors properly cured with VOCOMP-30 meet ASTM C1315 Section 8.8 adhesion requirements. For any other paint, coating, adhesive, flooring, or topping, get that manufacturer's approval before applying it.
