WR Meadows REZI-WELD GEL PASTE STATE is a non-sag, rapid-setting structural epoxy gel for anchoring, doweling, crack filling and small concrete repairs, supplied as a 10 gallon unit. It mixes 1:1 by volume and yields 2,310 cubic inches.
WR Meadows REZI-WELD GEL PASTE STATE is a high viscosity, high modulus, rapid-setting, thixotropic, structural epoxy chemical anchoring and bonding adhesive and injection gel. It is a two-component, moisture insensitive construction epoxy that can be troweled, brushed, injected or pumped, and as an adhesive it fills the voids between the surfaces being bonded. It is used for filling cracks, anchoring, doweling, small patches and general repairs on horizontal, vertical and overhead concrete, and for surface sealing before pressure injection. It is not recommended for overhead load-bearing anchorages, and it is not intended for submerged or saturated conditions. The 391-S data sheet lists ASTM C881-20 and AASHTO M235 compliance; it does not list individual state DOT approvals.

Which approvals does REZI-WELD GEL PASTE STATE carry?
Data sheet 391-S lists ASTM C881-20 and AASHTO M235, Type I, II, IV and V, Grade 3, Classes A, B and C. It does not list individual state Department of Transportation approvals, so confirm acceptance with the project specifier or the DOT before ordering for state work.
How is it used to set anchors and dowels?
Drill preformed holes about 1/8 Inch (3.175 mm) larger than the bolt diameter and 10-15 times the bolt diameter deep. Fill the hole about half way from the bottom up, place the bolt, dowel or rebar, then top off and finish. A professional engineer must approve or design all anchoring and doweling configurations and consider creep and service temperature. It is not recommended for overhead load-bearing anchorages; WR Meadows recommends considering metal anchors there.
How is the 10 gallon unit mixed?
Condition both components above 65 F for 24 hours, using a double boiler or a warm room, never direct heat. Pre-mix each component, then mix with a drill and Jiffy blade or drum mixer at 600 - 900 rpm for three minutes, scraping the sides, until uniform gray with no streaks. Gel time is 14 - 20 minutes at 75 F; heat shortens working time, and cold lengthens working, cure and bolt-up time. Mix complete units only and do not dilute.
What limits apply to REZI-WELD GEL PASTE STATE?
It is not intended for submerged or saturated conditions, and it is not recommended when the concrete has been below 40 F (4 C) in the past 24 hours or when rain is imminent. Do not use it to seal cracks under hydrostatic pressure. Patches should be 1/4 to 1/2 Inch per lift, 1 1/2 Inch total at most. Sanding, acid etching, cup-grinding and wire-abrading are not approved concrete preparation methods. Clean tools with a mild citrus-based solvent.
