WR Meadows KOOL-ROD SOFT is a flexible, rope-like polyethylene foam joint backing intended for use with cold-applied joint sealants. It is virtually non-absorbent, chemically inert to most solvents, and will not stain or adhere to the sealant, so it prevents three-sided adhesion. The SOFT formulation compresses more readily, so one diameter can fit a greater variety of joint sizes, and it is non-gassing and non-bubbling. The recommended joint width for this 3/8 inch rod is 3/16 to 1/4 inch (4.8 to 6.4 mm).
