The Beaton Innovations WaleTale is a clip-on mixing-bucket dust collector. It seats on the rim of a pail and connects a wet/dry vacuum so crews can dump bagged mortar, grout, or concrete and mix without sending a cloud of powder over the lip. The attachment fits 1, 3 1/2, and 5 gallon mixing buckets. The vacuum port is 2.5 in. in diameter and takes a standard shop-vac hose. With the vac running, suction at the rim draws airborne dust, including respirable crystalline silica from dry mixes, into the hose instead of the breathing zone. Tile, masonry, flooring, and plaster crews use it at indoor mix stations where silica control and cleanup around the bucket both matter.
