Frequently Asked Questions

Does Ultrabond 1300 stay usable on night pavement work where odor matters?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 is a low-odor non-sag epoxy that crews use on night pavement repairs when a solvent smell would be a problem. Same 1300 chemistry as the cartridges, fed from bulk when the job is long.

Can Ultrabond 1300 grout dowel bars on a full-depth pavement repair?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 is used to grout dowel bars on full-depth pavement repairs. Bulk feed is the usual way to keep a long dowel run moving.

Does Ultrabond 1300 stay moisture insensitive in a damp dowel hole?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 is moisture-insensitive on a damp hole. Do not use standing water as a substitute for a clean hole.

Is Ultrabond 1300 used for short-term tensile and shear under ASD?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 is used for short-term tensile and shear under allowable stress design. Confirm the load case on the current 1300 TDS.

Does Ultrabond 1300 still take a 24-month shelf in the trailer?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 lists a 24-month shelf in unopened containers. Keep the pails in the trailer range on the sheet.

Can Ultrabond 1300 set threaded rod as well as rebar dowels?
Yes. Ultrabond 1300 sets threaded rod and rebar dowels in uncracked concrete. It is a non-sag high-modulus epoxy, not a cracked-concrete HS-1CC.
