WR Meadows KOOL-ROD SOFT is a flexible, rope-like polyethylene foam joint backing intended for use with cold-applied joint sealants. It is virtually non-absorbent, chemically inert to most solvents, and will not stain or adhere to the sealant, so it prevents three-sided adhesion. The SOFT formulation compresses more readily, so one diameter can fit a greater variety of joint sizes, and it is non-gassing and non-bubbling. The recommended joint width for this 4 inch rod is 2-1/2 to 3 inch (63.5 to 76.2 mm).
