WR Meadows CEM-KOTE FLEX ST is a two-component, flexible, fiber-reinforced cementitious waterproofing slurry, supplied as a Light Gray kit of a 50 lb bag of dry component A and a 1.8 gallon jug of liquid component B. It is intended for positive- and negative-side waterproofing of concrete and CMU.
WR Meadows CEM-KOTE FLEX ST (often searched as cem-kote flex st) is a two-component, highly flexible, fiber-reinforced, breathable cementitious slurry for interior, exterior, positive-side, and negative-side waterproofing of concrete and CMU in new construction and restoration. It bridges substrate cracks up to 1/16 inch, allows continuous water immersion, and is self-curing. Where more flexibility is needed it can be reinforced with REINFORCING FABRIC HD throughout. This Light Gray kit yields about 0.53 cu ft. CEM-KOTE FLEX ST is also made in Industrial Gray and White; only Industrial Gray is NSF/ANSI 61 approved for potable water.

How much does one CEM-KOTE FLEX ST kit cover?
About 100 sq ft at a total thickness of 64 mils, applied in two coats of 32 mils each. The kit yields about 0.53 cu ft. Actual coverage depends on surface roughness and thickness, so a sample application is required.
Is this Light Gray CEM-KOTE FLEX ST approved for potable water?
No. CEM-KOTE FLEX ST is made in Industrial Gray, Light Gray, and White, and only the Industrial Gray version is ANSI/NSF Standard 61 approved. Use Industrial Gray for potable water tanks.
How is CEM-KOTE FLEX ST mixed?
Mix component B first. Pour about 80% of it into a clean container larger than 5 gallons and gradually add the dry component A with a paddle or helix mixer on a drill at 400 to 600 rpm until smooth and lump-free, then add the remaining liquid for the consistency needed. Pot life is about 40 minutes at 68 F and 60% RH.
How is CEM-KOTE FLEX ST applied?
Brush, trowel, or spray it on saturated surface dry concrete in two coats to at least 64 mils. Apply the second coat while the first is still damp but set enough to brush. If the first coat dries overnight, clean it with 1500 to 2000 psi water and let it dry first. Brush sprayed coats to remove pinholes.
How are cracks and corners treated?
Treat all cracks with CEM-KOTE FLEX ST and REINFORCING FABRIC NW or HD, pre-filling open cracks larger than 80 mils. Below grade, always use REINFORCING FABRIC HD, and CMU needs REINFORCING FABRIC HD too. Install 1.5 to 2 inch coves at 90 degree corners and reinforce them with REINFORCING FABRIC HD.
What curing and site limits apply?
Air dry for at least 3 days before continuous water exposure and protect from rain, wind, and sun for 12 hours. Do not apply if the temperature is expected below 39 F within 48 hours. Do not run combustion engines in a confined space during application, and use only 100% solids epoxy or water-based paints over it.
