Tremco Spectrem 2 is a high-performance, single-component, neutral-cure, medium-modulus silicone sealant intended for perimeter caulking and glazing applications. It may be used on aluminum, glass, steel, painted metal, plastic, stone, concrete and brick, so one product covers perimeter caulking, glazing and joint filling on the same job. Movement capability is ±50% (ASTM C719), and it resists driving rain, ozone, ultra-violet light and temperature extremes. Tremco has tested it for compatibility and approved it for use with its silicone compatible rubber extrusions and the SGT-900 and SGT-2000 series of tapes. It goes on with conventional caulking equipment with no mixing. Tremco recommends only Black Spectrem 2 for structural glazing applications. Do not apply it to damp or contaminated surfaces; it is not intended for continuous water immersion and should be used with adequate ventilation.
