Dayton Superior Densifier Concentrate J12

Dayton Superior Densifier Concentrate J12 is a sodium orthosilicate concentrate with a fugitive dye for hardening and dustproofing absorptive concrete. Dilute 1 gal of concentrate with 4 gal of water, then spray, broom, or squeegee on dry interior or exterior slabs and walls above 40°F. It will not discolor or scratch off, dries in about an hour at 70°F, and leaves no film to peel. Two coats give the hardest surface.

Key Features

  • Concentrate: 1 gal plus 4 gal water makes 5 gal of working solution.
  • Chemically hardens and dustproofs absorptive concrete.
  • Will not discolor and does not scratch or peel.
  • Low odor for interior floors and walls.
  • Two coats for optimum hardening; broom off puddles.
  • Fugitive dye helps see coverage while spraying.

Applications

  • Interior and exterior horizontal and vertical concrete.
  • Warehouses and industrial floors that dust.
  • Broom or trowel finishes after the slab is dry.
  • Floors that will take resilient-tile mastic (trowel-finish rate).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I dilute J12?
Mix the concentrate, then add 4 gal of clean water to 1 gal of J12. Stir thoroughly before each use. Always dilute before application.

Will it discolor the slab?
Dayton states it will not discolor concrete and does not produce objectionable odors. Not for colored concrete. Protect glass and metal from splash.

How much coverage?
After dilution, broom finishes 200-400 sq ft/gal and trowel finishes 500-600 sq ft/gal. Texture and absorption change the rate.

Is J13 the ready-to-use version?
J13 is a ready-to-use sodium orthosilicate densifier. J12 is the concentrate. They are not pack sizes of the same mix.
